The Process
Each 16x20 duck art creation takes between 10-20 hours, and anywhere between 500-1000 ducks!
The Prep.
First, every Duck piece is fully painted. This allows our characters primary characteristics to come through, even after the inevitable duck invasion.
The Commitment.
This is when it starts to get exciting. Now it’s time for glue! Each duck is glued by hand and placed carefully. They will begin to solidify their position in just a few seconds. Any attempt for movement after that can damage the canvas.
The Layout.
Then comes the layout! In this phase, we will layout the ducks multiple times by hand in order to visualize the colors and spirit we want coming through the piece.
The Reveal.
After the glue has set, the piece gets final touchups and sealant.
